Ive seen the sunrise more times then I can remember; More madness then I care to re-call. I saw your eyes in my mirror, And I still wonder if it meant anything at all. When I was a child Id peer in my mirror; Id see visions bought by a King. Loaves of bread broken in pieces, Twenty four cups, all set in a ring. Chorus: And angels would weep over teardrops; And Father watched over me. At night I would pray in my pillow, And dream dreams, of His majesty. I saw the walls all covered with crystal; I saw the streets all paved with gold. A river flowed through the middle, Just like the revelation of old. Chorus: And angels wept over teardrops; And Father watched over me. At night I would pray in my pillow, And dream dreams, of His majesty. The world had surrounded my spirit; Id fallen more times than the stars in the sky. But then I saw your eyes in my mirror, And I knew that they couldnt lie. Chorus: Do angels weep over teardrops; Does Father really watch over me? At night when I pray in my pillow, Is it real or just fantasy? Now that the sun shines again through Jesus; And the stars stand still in the sky, I stand with my mirror, broken in pieces, And thank God for those wondrous eyes! Chorus: And angels really do weep over teardrops; And Father really does watch over me. And at night when I pray in my pillow, I thank Him for the eyes that helped me see. rh <-----------> `~(:-{> |
